I’ve been tagged by my friend, Alisa Martin. Here’s how it works:
-You have to tag 5 people (you can’t tag the person that tagged you)
-Leave a comment on their blog (‘you’re tagged’ and ‘why’)
-Direct them to your blog for instructions…when you get tagged, you post ten fun facts about yourself!
So, here goes…
1. A sunny day is about as good for me as the greenest leafy vegetable you can lay your hands on.
2. When I choose paint colors for our home, I always gravitate toward bluish greens and greenish blues…mostly because it’s about as close to a beach house as I can get.
3. Once upon a time, I could stay up late and call myself a “night person,” but more and more (don’t even think anything that includes references to aging) I’ve become a lover of the earliest hours of the day. I’m at my best and everything seems possible.
4. I love words…I mean everything to do with words. I love quotes, reading, writing, teaching, studying, listening to audio books, looking at old handwritten documents and looking up words in the thesaurus just for fun. I have lots and lots of files containing great quotes I’ve collected. I regularly add to a file I keep on hand called, “My Favorite Words.” I know…it’s weird.
5. My first car was a canary yellow 1965 convertible, and I’d still be driving it if the choice were all mine.
6. History fascinates me. My favorite historical biography so far has been John Adams by David McCullough. Right now, Gerry and I are reading His Excellency, George Washington.
7. One of my favorite things to do is take a long walk while I listen to my iPod. Just can’t get enough of good books and great music while taking in the wonder of all God put here for us to enjoy.
8. Gerry and I spend every Friday together…almost. We drop the kids off at school and then embark upon six-and-a-half uninterrupted hours. You can almost bet that some part of the day will involve Starbucks and Barnes and Noble. We spend the time reading and talking and catching up on life. We look forward to it every time.
9. Finding ways to be creative is something akin to scratching an itch for me. If you know me, you know what I mean.
10. Jesus has affected and altered my life in ways I would never have imagined, and I wouldn’t want it any other way.
I’ve tagged Brittany D. and Charla C.
how fun!
